Hollywood bit me:-)

So a few weekends ago we had our GA in Decatur...oh Decatur IL such a fun place to visit! This time it was though! They are filming a movie there and Matt Damon was there along with other people. My goal for the weekend was to figure out who Matt Damon was (I couldn't remember but what was even better was that I knew our waiter looked like Keith Urban and I HATE country!) and to be a superstar:-)
Of course I did not become a superstar but I had a blast and taught people all weekend long how to do the "Mindy" dance:-) Our chapter did well with awards and I even got a presidential pin and competed in the write up! We danced like crazy, learned like crazy, and laughed like crazy. All in all it was the best one yet! I love being around people who have the same interests and goals in life as I do and want to make a difference. We also had the TOYP awards banquet (Elvis received one and said it was his most honored award!) Some unbelievable people were honored and I had to try so hard not to cry and how inspiring they were:-) Unfortunately we had a bomb threat and had to evacuate for almost 2 hours. Palatine made the best of it though...we huddled around and sang crazy songs terribly and danced to keep warm. That moment made me realize that I belong to the best organization around and the best chapter around:-) No matter how bad we sounded or how crazy we looked we were having fun and everyone joined in because they could sense the fun:-) Here are some pic's to sum up the weekend:

Oh blogging how I have missed you!

A lot has been going on since my old blog. I thought I would start a new one just like I started a new life:-)

Things have been going really well! I like work still which is good...still considering going back to school...just need to look at my options and figure out what I want to do. I love love love retail when it comes to merchandising and analyzing business and seeing how what I do can impact sales....I love the people interaction and I love the HR and recruiting piece of it. What I don't like is having to brown nose and be fake to customers and bosses. BLAH.

So I guess the biggest news for some of you is that I moved out. After almost 10 years of dating Jason I came to the conclusion that we could be so much happier, be so much more inspired, and be much more loved if we were to end our relationship. After so much time we became roommates rather than in a relationship. I love him dearly and wish him the best but we were so different and we usually brought out the worst in each other. I hate that it had to end like this but happiness in life is a goal that needs to be attained. I am now able to be the person I have always dreamed of...someone strong, independent, and confident.

I LOVE my new place! I have two patios that I have been using quite frequently since it is so pretty! I even planted flowers. Yes, I know time to faint! They are even still alive! I never used the fireplace but the candles in the fireplace worked nicely! The cat's have adjusted well, they love looking out all the windows and chasing birds/squirrel's/rabbits. They actually have become SO loving!

I have dedicated time to catching up with old friends and making new friends and I honestly have not been this happy in so long! I am working out 2-3 times a week which is HUGE considering I had no energy before.

Enough about that.....here is to the start of a new life...and a new blog:-) Pic's in next post!
